How efficiently was budget money allocated and utilised for education in Uttar Pradesh?

Some Trends in Education Expenditure in Telangana: The budget estimates (BE) for expenditure on Education, Sports, Culture and Arts was Rs 13,49,827.30 lakhs — which was 5.9% of the total budgetary expenditure by the Telangana Government (Fig 1). However, as can be seen from Fig. 1, the share of expenditure on education is consistently lower than the national average. Between 2016-17 and 2022-23, the utilisation of funds available for scheme specific to girls varied between 84.5% in Hapur to 96.7% in Ambedkar Nagar. The state capital treasury in Lucknow spent more than what it was allocated, at 109.3%
